In the lap of the Himalayas

The joy, the pain and the mirth,
And for beauty there lies no dearth,
The peaks are for ever my hearth,
This place is surely the heaven on earth!


The chirping of the birds at dawn everyday,
The brightness of the day taking the slumber away,
And the advent of evening in shades of grey,
The beauty of it all takes my heart away!
